A fairytale wedding filled with Ivory Victory peonies: Razvan and Crina Marin’s Big Day
My Peony Society had the honor of supplying 1,500 Ivory Victory peonies to renowned floral designer Nicu Bocancea for the fairytale wedding of Romanian football player and former Ajax star Razvan Marin and his beloved Crina Marin. The result was a stylish and intimate celebration in which the peonies created an enchanting atmosphere that guests will remember for a long time.
Nicu’s design vision
Floral designer Nicu Bocancea, internationally known for his minimalist and nature-inspired designs, wanted to create something for Razvan and Crina that was not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful. He sought a design that told a story and reflected the couple’s personality and love. “This was a project where everything came together: the couple’s trust, the beauty of the flowers, and a shared dedication to authenticity,” says Nicu. He created a stylish setting that felt both inviting and vibrant: a place where every floral arrangement had meaning and where love was palpable.
The power of simplicity
The Ivory Victory peonies became the heart of the design. With their soft, creamy color and lush petals, they brought a sense of quiet luxury to the space.
The peonies were present everywhere, setting the mood without being overpowering. Low, lavish arrangements lined the aisle, and the dining tables were adorned with full bouquets. There was also a photo spot surrounded by peonies where guests could capture memories of the special day. As guests entered, they reacted with admiration and emotion. One guest said, “I have never seen such beautiful flowers. It feels as if they are part of the air.” These are exactly the kinds of moments that reveal the magical power of peonies.
The bride and her dream bouquet
The bridal bouquet consisted entirely of Ivory Victory peonies. It was understated, natural, and elegant; just like Crina herself. “These peonies are exactly what I imagined when I closed my eyes and thought about this day,” the bride said with emotion.
